Meet The Team

Professional & friendly eye care

Neha Patel

Optometrist

Neha Patel is the Principle Optometrist and has been with the practice for over 10 years. She heads up a great Optometric team.  Neha graduated from City University in 2002 and went on to teach and examine Optometry at City University as a visiting lecturer.  She has also assisted students in their final Professional Qualifying Exams.  Neha offers patients a unique blend of excellent eye care and her friendly, welcoming approach: “listening to patients’ needs is paramount”. She enjoys problem-solving and helping patients who have been visually unfulfilled elsewhere.  Her specialities are providing domiciliary eye care to those patients that are not able to attend the practice as well as visual stress, to help eliminate the visual discomfort suffered by many people who struggle to read.

Outside of work, her two children help her keep fit as well as regular spin classes and running.

Maria Keavney

After qualifying in Ireland, Maria completed an MSc in Clinical Optometry with distinction from The City University and a Certificate of Advanced Study from NEWENCO. She gained experience working in diabetic screening at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and was recently involved in glaucoma screening at Kingston Eye Hospital. She has gained valuable experience dealing with children while working in Paediatrics at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington and has implemented a myopia control programme at the practice. She has been involved in a number of charity projects in China, South Africa and Thailand, providing primary eye to under privileged children

Eleanor Holtam

Optometrist

Eleanor originally qualified from Oxford University with a degree in Physics and subsequently moved into the field of Optometry where she qualified with a First from The City University, London in 2008. She has a keen interest in paediatrics and loves the wonder on the face of someone trying contact lenses for the first time. She has 3 young children of her own and enjoys playing netball and cooking in her meagre free time.

Nelum Amin

Optometrist

BSc (Hons) Optometry

Nelum qualified in 2008 from City University, London and has since enjoyed every aspect of her career providing the highest quality vision and health care to all her patients.

Outside of work she enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending time with her family.

Lisa Duckering

Optical Assistant

Lisa started her career in optics as she left school.  She then proceeded to work in retail and customer services.  Prior to starting at Fiona Watt Optometrists, she was the Area Manager of a jewellery company.  At Fiona Watt Optometrists, she is responsible for reception duties, visual pre-screening and dispensing.

With her previous retail experience, she has a keen fashion eye when it comes to choosing the perfect pair of frames.  Lisa is a mother of three and in her spare time enjoys being with her family, socialising, meeting new people, listening to music and eating out. She is looking forward to giving her continued support as the company grows under Neha’a care.
